Planning a Family and Pet-Friendly Stay in Kasauli
The right family break begins with practical questions: who needs a separate bedroom, what everyone can do together and what must be discussed before bringing a pet.

A family holiday is rarely improved by treating everyone as one identical guest. Children may need room to move, adults may value privacy, grandparents may prefer fewer stairs or less walking, and a pet-accompanied stay requires a conversation before the reservation is confirmed.
Chillaru Spa & Resort is a 4.4-acre forest retreat in Kasauli with 29 rooms across six categories, an all-weather swimming pool, indoor leisure, forest experiences, dining and a Family Suite designed around connected but separate sleeping spaces.

Start with the room configuration
The most useful family question is not simply, “How large is the room?” It is, “How many people need to sleep, sit and get ready without turning the stay into a compromise?”
Family Suite
- Approx. 65 m² / 700 sq. ft.
- Outside sitting area
- Two interconnected bedrooms
- Two washrooms
The detailed Family Suite configuration also includes one indoor sitting area and two verified layouts.
Ask which layout is available for your dates.
Executive Room
A separate living area and private balcony can suit guests who value more separation between living and sleeping space.
Presidential Room
A three-sided balcony and bathtub create a different room experience for guests who value outdoor connection and a bath.
Chillaru Suite
A separate living area, private balcony and private in-room Jacuzzi suit couples planning a celebratory stay or more time in the room.
Superior and Premium Rooms
These are balcony-led one-bedroom categories for smaller family groups. Current occupancy conditions should be checked through the official booking flow.
The Family Suite is not described as having a private balcony. Its advantage is the interconnected two-bedroom arrangement, two washrooms and shared family functionality.
Family Suite →Build one shared activity and one flexible alternative
Families usually enjoy the day more when every hour is not dependent on one outdoor plan.
At Chillaru, a shared pool session can be paired with the Games Room, board games, pinecone painting where available, dining or quieter room time.
The all-weather swimming pool currently operates from 8:30 AM–6:30 PM. Children must remain under parental supervision and follow current property guidance.
Outdoor walks, picnics or bonfires remain dependent on weather, current operations and any advance arrangements required.

Let meals support the family rhythm
Families benefit from knowing where regular meals happen, whether familiar options are available and how dietary needs should be shared.
Chillaru offers multi-cuisine dining with a Himachali influence. Guests should share allergies, dietary restrictions and child-specific requirements before arrival so the team can confirm what can be arranged.
